Ini Edo also known as “Iniobong Edo Ekim” and “Ini Edo-Ehiagwina”, a Nollywood Superstar Diva, also regarded as one of the top / highest paid Nollwood Actresses. In-spite of all the accomplishments,

she stays humble and yet, still very ambitious. She is currently working on the logistics for premiering one of her personal movie projects “Memories of my Heart”.  The movie featured Ini Edo,

Desmond Elliot, Ramsey Noah,  Mona Lisa Chinda and a host of other Intelligent and Vibrant Actors. Preparations to premier this fantastic and mind-blowing movie in Lagos is on-going, and

plans are also being made to premiere the movie in some few states within the United States as well.

An Exclusive Interview with Ini Edo by Bode Ojo for Golden ICONS.

GOLDEN ICONS: When did you start acting and what were you doing prior to that?

Ini Edo: I started acting fully in 2003. Prior to that, I was in school.

GOLDEN ICONS: Out of all the Nollwood Actors, I presume you would have featured or co-starred in a movie with someone that you consider a great person to act with. Can you briefly describe who that person is ?..

Ini Edo: I would say Desmond Elliot, cos’ I think he’s a deep actor and he challenges me as a co artiste. There’s also some sort of compatibility and chemistry that makes it seem more natural. He’s a great actor and a good friend.

GOLDEN ICONS: How did you get into acting, and what was your first movie?

Ini Edo: I was invited by a course mate who was already a make-up artiste for an audition since our school was on strike at the time.

The very 1st movie I featured in was “Child of Destiny.

GOLDEN ICONS: Who inspires you, and what are your professional aspirations?

Ini Edo: Professionally, I derive inspirations from ladies like Halle Berry . Charlize Theron.
I aspire to become a world class Actress and a better one at that. I also desire to be able to leave a legacy for younger or aspiring actresses to follow when I eventually decide to retire

GOLDEN ICONS: What is Ini Edo currently up to?

Ini Edo: Right now, I am putting things in place in readiness for the premiere of my movie “Memories of my Heart” in lagos .  Thereafter, I will be premiering it around some states within the United States . In addition, I am also preparing for a commercial shoot by a company that just signed me on.

GOLDEN ICONS: Congratulations on your endorsement by Glo!, and how was the whole South Africa experience?

Ini Edo: Thanks Bode, the whole SA experience was a blast. It was very cold at the time we were there, but not withstanding, we had an excellent and memorable time. I mean, I had my best peeps around and we made the best out of the trip; infact, it was like a much needed vacation for us, and it was fun.
